Reality Radio: the song!

Over the last few decades, the radio documentary has developed into a strikingly vibrant form of creative expression. Reality Radio: Telling True Stories in Sound celebrates today’s best audio documentary work by bringing together some of the most influential and innovative practitioners from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Australia. In these 19 essays, documentary artists tell relate how they make radio the way they do, and why.

John Biewen and Alexa Dilworth, collaborators on Reality Radio, recently appeared at Chicago’s Third Coast Filmless Festival, where they were interviewed by Gwen Macsai and treated to a fabulous serenade by Abraham Levitan, of the band Baby Teeth, who composed this song in a flash based on what he learned from the interview. If you dig Levitan’s ditty, check out his songwriting blog, 52 Teeth! If it makes you want to know more about the book, you can check out realityradiobook.org for contributor bios, links to podcasts, events, and more.
