Listen: This Interview with Sheri Castle Will Make You Hungry

Sheri Castle, author of The New Southern Garden Cookbook: Enjoying the Best from Homegrown Gardens, Farmers’ Markets, Roadside Stands, and CSA Farm Boxes, sat down for an audio interview to discuss the origins of her book and the ideas behind some of her (over 300!) recipes. She talks about some of its features and the advantages of using fresh-from-the garden ingredients and incorporates stories and background that give a personal touch to her dishes. I don’t want to give too much away–click to have a listen and learn some of Castle’s secrets!

  1. Best cooking books ever are the ones written by cooking teachers, not only by food writers. It is also important to develop an intense career in recipes testing (jury at contests, e.g.) to be a succesful writer.
    Nice book. I’ll recommend it.
